After providing unwavering Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias care to the East Tennessee region for many years, The University of Tennessee Medical Center joined with The Pat Summitt Foundation in 2014 to enhance care provided to our community and create The Pat Summitt Clinic. Inspired by the vision of the late, legendary Coach Pat Summitt, the experienced multi-disciplinary team helps patients with memory disorders, and their families and caregivers.

The Alzheimer’s Association is a national organization that is interested in care, support and research of Alzheimer’s. This website includes links to education, action, and research for those interested in Alzheimer’s.

The National Library of Medicine offers a helpful resource for caregivers of someone with Alzheimer’s. Some of the topics covered include an overview of Alzheimer’s, nutrition for individuals with Alzheimer’s, coping strategies and more. Some information is also available in Spanish.

The National Library of Medicine and National Institutes on Health provide an overview on what Alzheimer’s is and how it affects people. Topics covered include overview of the disease, latest news, diagnosis/symptoms, prevention/ screening, alternative therapy, disease management, financial issues, and research.

The U.S. National Institutes of Health and National Institute on Aging website provide general information on Alzheimer’s, causes, symptoms, diagnosis and treatment information.

The Cole Neuroscience Center, affiliated with University Neurologists, offers a complete spectrum of care for degenerative neurological diseases, such as Alzheimer's Disease, Dementia, Movement Disorders, Parkinson's Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Muscular Dystrophy, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis and Epilepsy and Stroke.
