It is a good idea to create one EndNote library for yourself, and then create groups for your different research projects. You can only sync one library with EndNote Online, but you can share the groups in that library with different collaborators.
1. EndNote>Preferences>Sync. FOR WINDOWS USERS, Edit>Preferences>Sync.
2. Enter your UTMCK email and a password.
3. Click Enable Sync.
4. Click Sign Up.
5. Fill out the My EndNote Web form that opens. (All red starred items are required.)
NOTE: Once you import some references to your EndNote, log in to MyEndNote Web and see if your groups/references are showing. If syncing is setup properly, your groups and reference will be showing.

EndNote provides a number of terms list to make sure that the journal names in your bibliography are either the full name or abbreviation as your style requires.
In EndNote, go to "Tools > Open Term Lists > Journal Terms List".
If there are journals listed, highlight the first journal, and press [Ctrl]+A on the keyboard to highlight all the terms (on a Macintosh, this would be [Command]+A).
Next, press the "Delete Term" button to the right to empty the list of old terms. Note: If the Journal Terms List is empty, obviously you can skip this.
Go to the "Lists" tab at the top, and click on the "Import List" button.
Browse to the Term Lists folder within the EndNote folder, and choose to open the Medical text file (assuming you want to use the Index Medicus abbreviations).
This will import the correct abbreviations into your library's term list.
Next, to make sure the style is using the correct substitution, go to "Edit > Output Styles > Open Style Manager".
In the list of styles, highlight the style you are using and click the "Edit" button.
Click on "Journal Names" on the left.
Make sure the style is using the Full Name or one of the Abbreviations as needed.
