Guide to Creating Your PowerPoint Presentation

Your presentation will be judged on the content, participation by the group members and quality of the use of the software PowerPoint. Some criteria are listed below.

What is expected during your presentation?
 

  • General Information: Grading is based on the following:
  • Your presentation should be a summary of your written research report.
  • It should summarize the key points
  • The presentation should be focused; it should be clear what your topic is, as well as what the main points of your findings are.
  • You should mention the sources of your findings.
  • Conclusions you have reached through your research should be clearly stated

PowerPoint: Grading is based on the following:

  • The first slide should bea  title slide with title of your topic and the following “University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine Medical Explorations Program”.
  • The second slide should include the names of all the team members.
  • The third slide should be an introductory slide summarizing the topic
  • Presentation should inlcude  at least 1 table, 1 chart and one picture.
  • The last slides should include a list of references which should be cited using the American Medical Association Style Guide
  • You must include at least 10 citations, 5 of which must be journals. The others can be books and valid web sites.
