Medical Explorations Program Resources: Electronic Databases
The following resources will be helpful in achieving the research component of the Medical Exploration Program. In addition to these resources, please stop by the reference desk for additional help with your research.
Two resources of interest are located at this CDC Website. Health, United States is an annual report on trends in health statistics and Faststats provides quick access to statistics on topics of public health importance.
When searching for primary literature for your topic this is a great place to start. This database indexes all the major medical journals and there are links to our full text electronic version of the articles.
This link allows medical residents and all other UTK & UTHSC NetID holders the option to search PubMed and link to resources from Preston Medical Library, University of Tennessee-Knoxville, or UT Health Sciences Center. Note that you will not be able to see the three links if you are logged into MyNCBI.
